Cub Foods Removes Nesquick Chocolate Powder From Shelves
Nearby stores have taken a precautionary step and removed Nesquik warrant possibly linked to salmonella poisoning cases here in the United States.
Cub Foods had posted signs and removed items from the shelves by Sunday, as concerns about the all the rage powder began to first surface. Rainbow Foods has also removed it from shelves in many locations.
According to the U.S. Chow and Drug Administration:
Nestlé USA announced the voluntary recall of restrictive quantities of Nestlé NESQUIK Chocolate Powder in the 10.9, 21.8 and 40.7 ounce canisters. The intended recall is limited to only NESQUIK Chocolate Powder, which was distributed nationally. No other varieties of Nesquick levigate or any sizes or flavors of NESQUIK ready-to-drink are affected by this call back.
Nestlé is removing the canisters from distribution because the company was notified by an ingredient supplier, Omya Inc.
